Landen Motyka
For the past 8 yrs I've worked with queer, trans, BIPOC, disabled and neurodivergent communities on issues related to trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, anger, people pleasing/care taking, relationship issues, identity exploration, life transitions and systemic stressors. My practice seeks to center clients wholeness, examining and holding how all of their identities & experiences have shaped their life story & lived experience. What are the stories we tell ourselves about who we are? How might life be different if you reclaimed & rewrote these stories and lived a life that felt more aligned with who you wish to be?
My work emphasizes healing that can be practiced & embodied, without an expectation of perfection. This may look like learning practices to (re)connect to your body, developing loving boundaries, co-creating nurturing relationships, and/or developing or understanding how your unique skills may benefit you and your communities.
I am trained in trauma-informed approaches & pull from narrative, somatic, relational, psychodynamic & abolitionist frameworks. I have experience working with folks in cross-cultural and multi-stressed relationships. I deeply value the therapeutic relationship and welcome folks to bring their whole selves, including the laughter and tears.
