I'm so glad you're here! I welcome clients who may be perceived by others as "having it all together", but internally feel overwhelmed, out of control and are afraid of being "found out". My clients are high achieving and historically marginalized folks who want to work through anxiety, depression, stress management, boundary setting, life transitions, and identity exploration. I frame the healing journey in terms of present, past, and future-what's not working right now, how did you get here, and where do you want to be instead. Together we'll create a space where you are free to dream and make room for your authentic self to shine through. I became a psychologist to become an active part in creating a world that my inner child would feel seen in, and to extend that power and flexibility to others who may have learned that safety and support is not always given- sometimes it must be created. If you are curious about starting your Unapologetic Journey, email me to schedule a consultation today!

I'm an OCD, phobia, and picking/pulling specialist. 90% of my caseload has OCD and about half also have a phobia or a body-focused repetitive behavior (BFRB). I have a lot of experience with taboo themes (P-OCD, Z-OCD, I-OCD) and people that have primarily mental compulsions. I'm open about having OCD and a BFRB myself. I know what it's like! I'm an LGBTQIA+, kink, and poly-affirming therapist that believes therapy should be available to everyone. I want people to know that therapists are not pinnacles of perfection; we have our own struggles and good therapists use those struggles to become better practitioners. If you're looking for a nonjudgemental therapist that shows her humanity and embraces it with some humor then I might be a good fit for you. I completed specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and I'm intensively trained in Exposure and Response Prevention for OCD. I'm also trained in the ComB model for body-focused repetitive behaviors. I work exclusively online so I can see you no matter where in Georgia you happen to be.
Does it feel like intense emotions come out of nowhere and run you over? Are you drowning in anxiety? Do you speak or act without thinking and then ask yourself, “Why did I do that?!” Do you avoid doing things because they probably won’t work out for you? Maybe you beat yourself up, or you feel like no one understands you, or you can’t seem to find the type of relationships you want – maybe all of the above. You wonder whether things are ever going to change. You’re overwhelmed, you're struggling to manage it all, and you're stuck. I specialize in getting people un-stuck. I hear where you’re coming from and validate you without losing sight of why you came to therapy in the first place – you want things to be different. I can teach you to control your emotions and gain a sense of stability, and guide you on the path to less anxiety, higher self-confidence, and better relationships. I approach my clients with unmistakable authenticity. When you meet with me, you're meeting with the real me. I give my clients the tools they need to solve their own problems along with the knowledge of when, where, and how to use each tool. If you’re ready to build the life you want, let’s talk!
On top of going to college, are you struggling with lack of sleep or health concerns that are depleting your resources and energy, and impacting your mood? Are you worried about COVID-19 and it’s effect on you, college and your future? I am a health focused therapist and provide effective, practical interventions and existential explorations. In addition to working with students who are dealing with anxiety or depression, I also specialize in working with individuals with chronic health or medical conditions, including those who are managing a mild traumatic brain injury. I provide CBT-I for people who have insomnia and want better sleep. Due to COVID 19 I am now treating students via video conferencing on a private, confidential site.
I am a Physician Assistant experienced in working in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. I diagnose and help patients to manage conditions including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, sleep issues, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and much more. Through medication management, I aspire to help my patients manage their conditions as best as possible by using the least amount of medication in order to manage their symptoms. I also am familiar with over-the-counter / naturopathic approaches to mental health and how using these vitamins as adjuncts to medication can often work synergistically with psychiatric meds. I know that medications aren’t always the only method to improve your mental health, so oftentimes I refer my patients to counseling and therapy too. Originally from the state of FL, I graduated from then University of FL with my bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies before earning my PA degree from the University of South Alabama in 2020. I was recently awarded a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Psychiatry by the NCCPA.
Hello and welcome! I’m Takiyah Jones, a double board-certified nurse practitioner dedicated to supporting the mental health and well-being of children, adolescents, and adults. I specialize in treating anxiety, depression, ADHD, mood disorders, and post-traumatic stress disorder. Through a holistic and personalized approach to care, I seek to help my patients thrive. With my diverse background, I’ve had the privilege of caring for the physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual needs of individuals, families, and communities. I prioritize a patient-centered approach, value collaboration, and empower my clients to overcome challenges. I hold a Doctor of Nursing Practice and a Post-Masters Certificate specializing as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from Georgia State University. I also have a Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from South University in Savannah, GA. I’m here to guide you toward lasting wellness and look forward to partnering with you on your journey to better mental health. I am deeply committed to patient care and making a meaningful impact on those struggling with psychological challenges. As a dual board-certified NP, I take a holistic approach to care, recognizing the connection between mental and physical health. I am passionate about improving access to quality mental health care and ensuring individuals receive compassionate, evidence-based treatment. My goal is to meet people where they are, providing support, guidance, and healing while addressing barriers to care. I tailor my approach by building therapeutic relationships with each patient, listening to their goals and values. I assess their unique needs and involve them in setting collaborative treatment goals. I respect patient preferences for care, which includes making adjustments that align with cultural beliefs. Open communication and scheduled check-ins ensure the treatment plan stays aligned with their needs, while respecting autonomy.
I worked eight years as an Adult Nurse Practitioner in several settings before expanding my specialty to Psychiatry/Mental Health; it was the best career decision I could have made. I started practicing Psychiatry in a correctional setting, treating adolescents and adults. It was there that I recognized the significance of early mental health promotion, screening, and treatment. For the past four years, I’ve worked in a private practice with a diverse patient population across the lifespan. My main role is assessing, diagnosing, education, and medication management, and I occasionally incorporate therapy. I have found that motivational interviewing helps elicit the patient’s goals and determine readiness for change. The individual patient and his/her goals dictate my chosen therapy modality. Brief supportive therapy, Grief therapy, and CBT interventions are the modalities I most often incorporate. All psychiatry providers at Foresight have specialized experience in treating a wide range of common mental health conditions, including but not limited to ADHD, anxiety disorders, mood disorders, depression, and PTSD. In addition, I specialize in the following areas: academic stress, BIPOC mental health issues, CBT-I, comorbidities/medical complexity, deprescribing, holistic approaches to psychiatry, LGBTQIQ2s+ mental health, personality disorders, somatic symptoms disorders, trauma-informed care, anger management, antisocial personality disorder, autism spectrum disorder, chronic illness, chronic pain, developmental disorders, dissociative disorders, first responders, grief, men’s issues, pregnancy, prenatal, postpartum, racial identity, self harming (non-suicidal self injurious behavior), transgender care, veterans care, women’s issues (PMDD, PCOS, perimenopause, menopause, etc.)

You may be doing everything expected of you while privately feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or unsure of yourself. I work well with students who want to understand the patterns shaping their lives, strengthen their boundaries, improve their relationships, and make decisions with greater confidence. I also support students navigating cultural identity, major life transitions, family conflict, burnout, grief, and the challenges of living or studying away from home. My approach is collaborative, culturally responsive, and practical. We will look at your experiences within the context of your relationships, history, culture, responsibilities, and current environment. Sessions provide space to explore what is happening beneath the surface while developing tools you can use in your everyday life. My goal is to help you build greater clarity, self-trust, and a stronger sense of direction.

"You deserve the BEST. You do have CHOICES. Your choices should bring you PEACE." This is the foundation on which "Dr. Kay" builds and what helped her thrive after battling major depression in college. Initially failing in her major and being forced to withdraw with an emergency mental health leave, Dr. Kay is familiar with battling the unresolved past and pressing toward hopes for the future. Dr. Kay thrives with "young folk" who are seeking to be heard, understood and healed within this unique space.
