College can be a time of significant transition, and I aim at providing a safe, nonjudgmental space where students can explore their emotions, strengthen their sense of identity, and develop coping strategies. Whether you’re navigating academic pressures, personal growth, adjusting to a new culture, self-confidence issues and needing a therapist who is also a Christian, I am here to support you with an approach that is understanding, collaborative, and tailored to your unique experiences. Does it feel like intense emotions come out of nowhere and run you over? Are you drowning in anxiety? Do you speak or act without thinking and then ask yourself, “Why did I do that?!” Do you avoid doing things because they probably won’t work out for you? Maybe you beat yourself up, or you feel like no one understands you, or you can’t seem to find the type of relationships you want – maybe all of the above. You wonder whether things are ever going to change. You’re overwhelmed, you're struggling to manage it all, and you're stuck. I specialize in getting people un-stuck. I hear where you’re coming from and validate you without losing sight of why you came to therapy in the first place – you want things to be different. I can teach you to control your emotions and gain a sense of stability, and guide you on the path to less anxiety, higher self-confidence, and better relationships. I approach my clients with unmistakable authenticity. When you meet with me, you're meeting with the real me. I give my clients the tools they need to solve their own problems along with the knowledge of when, where, and how to use each tool. If you’re ready to build the life you want, let’s talk!

I was born in India, grew up in the Middle East, and immigrated to the United States at the age of eleven. Growing up in three countries taught me to appreciate the diversity of the human experience, but more importantly, helped me understand that deep down inside, many of us want the same things - safety, love, affirmation, and happiness. Following my graduation from Arizona State University in May 2007, I entered the field of mental health with a desire to work in spaces as diverse as the people I intended to help. I began my journey with an internship in private practice, where I developed the skills necessary to treat a wide variety of mood and trauma disorders. I graduated with a Masters Degree in Professional Counseling in May 2012 and spent the next four years working with Native American families on the San Carlos Apache Reservation. My time on the reservation was equal parts rewarding and formative, and it solidified my desire to work with individuals and families who have often been historically overlooked or mistreated in healthcare spaces. Upon moving to Atlanta in 2016, I began my ongoing work with members of local LGBTQ+ communities of color. I also returned to private practice at this time and began my work in daytime television. I was extensively involved with Divorce Court in on and off-camera capacities for several seasons before setting out to found a private practice of my own. The formation of Garuda Counseling is, in many ways, a culmination of my experiences as both a person and as a professional. I am excited to work with individuals for all walks of life, but my passion remains working alongside those who have felt unseen or unheard in traditional counseling spaces. Let’s talk soon - I know we can accomplish great things together.
I have worked in the behavioral health field for over two decades as a Certified Addiction Counselor guiding individuals through their process of self-discovery. I use CBT to help identify underlying beliefs that motivate you to persist in harmful patterns, allowing you to make more successful choices. I enhance my counseling with Motivational Interviewing, experiential and creative interventions while using a social justice framework. I am a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist. My passion is facilitating growth and healing using your intersecting identities, both visible and invisible, as strengths. I most enjoy working with those newly in recovery, using both my clinical skills and my lived experience as a survivor and someone in long-term recovery. In addition to working with addictions and recovery, I am skilled working in the areas of sexuality and relationship structure minorities, BDSM/Kink, anxiety management, aging, career counseling, creativity coaching, mood disorders, divorce recovery, incarceration, and reentry, and those who practice alternative spiritualities. I am sex-positive & sex work positive. Whether you’re in crisis or interested in exploring personal growth, we can work together to build from your strengths to improve your life. Things about me that may interest you: I am a married bi-sexual cis-woman with children, a practicing Wiccan, kinky and polyamorous. I am a teacher and fiber artist who knits, spins, and weaves. My passion is creating. I provide counseling at $250 per 50-minute session to individuals, and $300 to couples and polycules. Sliding scale fees can be negotiated depending on financial need. I also provide continuing education for addiction counselors with a focus on increasing clinical skills in the areas of sexuality and recovery.
I am inspired to work in mental health care because I am passionate about helping individuals overcome challenges, find resilience, and achieve a better quality of life. I find it deeply rewarding to be part of my patients’ journeys toward healing and growth, and I value the opportunity to address the stigma around Mental Health and advocate for compassionate, evidence-based care. I ensure patients feel heard and understood by actively listening, reflecting their thoughts and feelings, and validating their experiences. I create a safe, non-judgmental space, pay attention to verbal and nonverbal cues, and tailor my approach to their unique needs, fostering trust and collaboration. Building trust and a strong Therapeutic Alliance with my patients begins with creating a safe, nonjudgmental, and empathetic environment where they feel heard and respected. I approach each patient with genuine curiosity about their experiences and ensure that I validate their emotions and perspectives. Consistency and reliability are key, so I strive to communicate clearly and follow through on what I say. I also prioritize transparency by explaining my thought process, treatment recommendations, and the rationale behind decisions to involve the patient in their care plan actively. Additionally, I respect their autonomy and individuality, recognizing that trust is earned over time through mutual collaboration and demonstrating my commitment to their well-being.
My name is Elizabeth Bryant. As a LGBTQIA+ affirming couples therapist trained in both Gottman and Developmental Model Couples therapy I have come to learn that not every size fits all. Bringing two different people with their own unique backgrounds, life experiences, and values is bound to be tricky. Trying to build a life with someone is wonderful but a challenging adventure to embark on. I work with a variety of couples including but not limited to LGBTQIA+, monogamous, polyamorous, heterosexual, interracial, and neurodivergent. The majority of the couples I work with are looking for a new way forward together but are facing challenges that often feel unresolvable without guidance. It takes courage, vulnerability, patience, open communication and a genuine desire to heal and grow. It is not a journey taken lightly but together we can create a path towards deeper connection and a joy-filled relationship.

Gen Z and Millennial women are often bombarded with difficult life transitions such as adulting, relationship distress, quarter-life crises, career pursuits, parenting, caregiving, and more. This can be a lot to manage! Societal pressures plus the changing roles of women in this age group require a focused, feminist, and knowledgable approach.
