Therapists for college students near Atlanta, GA
Within my practice, I have diligently developed a way to blend person-centered counseling, trauma-informed care, and spiritual wellness to guide individuals to noticeable relief during life transitions, self-worth struggles, emotional wounds, and other various challenges. I work with young and maturing individuals ready for emotional awareness, self-worth restoration, and spiritual realignment. My clients seek a safe space to break free, rediscover, and become who they were created to be—whole, worthy, and beautifully aligned. I work collaboratively with you to set meaningful, realistic goals that reflect your values and areas where you desire healing or growth. We explore your story, identify what's weighing you down, and clarify what realignment looks like for you—whether that's increased self-worth, better coping skills, or deeper spiritual connection.
Feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, dating challenges, or life transitions? You don’t have to navigate it alone. I love working with college students seeking clarity, peace, and confidence—whether you're adjusting to campus life, preparing for the future, or feeling emotionally stuck and alone. Originally from Houston, Texas and now based in Atlanta, I’ve been fully licensed since 2018 and practicing since 2012. My early work focused on adolescents and families affected by substance use, but I found my sweet spot working with young adults navigating anxiety, relationship stress, and identity development. Whether you're facing college anxiety, academic pressure, or relationship concerns, I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can process emotions and grow at your own pace. Therapy with me is relaxed, empowering, and rooted in real-life support. Healing isn’t instant, but it starts with being open, heard, and supported. Let’s take that first step—together.
Have you been experiencing feelings of dread, worry, and fear? Have you been down, depressed, or hopeless for several weeks or more? Having trouble navigating life challenges or obstacles? Lets work on ways to cope and conquer the anxiety and depression. Lets find alternatives to the life challenges. We can work on ways to change your thinking and changing your life.
My name is Elizabeth Bryant. As a LGBTQIA+ affirming couples therapist trained in both Gottman and Developmental Model Couples therapy I have come to learn that not every size fits all. Bringing two different people with their own unique backgrounds, life experiences, and values is bound to be tricky. Trying to build a life with someone is wonderful but a challenging adventure to embark on. I work with a variety of couples including but not limited to LGBTQIA+, monogamous, polyamorous, heterosexual, interracial, and neurodivergent. The majority of the couples I work with are looking for a new way forward together but are facing challenges that often feel unresolvable without guidance. It takes courage, vulnerability, patience, open communication and a genuine desire to heal and grow. It is not a journey taken lightly but together we can create a path towards deeper connection and a joy-filled relationship.
My name is Jessica Kettell and I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with the American Nurses Credentialing Center. I am here to help you restore your mental health and empower you to live your life to your fullest potential. Are you feeling sad or empty? Do you have trouble sleeping? Or maybe, you are so overwhelmed, anxious, or discouraged that it’s hard for you to make it through the day? You might find it hard to focus on tasks or assignments. Whatever problems you are facing right now, let’s tackle them together! You are not alone. You deserve to be happy and enjoy your life. I have completed a Fellowship Program in Functional and Integrative Psychiatry with Dr. James Greenblatt. My lifelong dream has been to make mental health care more accessible to individuals and to reduce the stigma associated with mental health treatment. Just as it is normal to seek treatment for diabetes, it should be natural to seek treatment to improve your mental health. You are a biochemically unique individual. A treatment that works well for someone, might not work best for you. That is why I use an evidence-based, whole-body, personalized approach to identify all factors that might be contributing to your mental health condition such as nutrition, lifestyle, hormones, genetics, and stress. Good nutrition and lifestyle practices are the foundation of mental wellness. I would love to support you on your mental health journey. Let’s do this together!
In a world that is constantly changing, it can be difficult to keep a pace that feels comfortable and productive. If you have reached a point where old coping skills no longer work, or you are looking to find healthier ways to cope with life challenges, I'm here to help. In therapy we will work together to develop awareness of how your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors affect one another, build skills to handle difficult emotions and make behavior change, and practice these skills in a variety of situations so you may be able to support yourself moving forward. True growth and healing happen in the most uncomfortable spaces at times. However, you do not have to wait until you are in the eye of a storm to seek counseling services. Embarking on the therapeutic journey is an important life decision and finding a therapist whose expertise fits your needs is just as vital. Therapy is a collaborative process, and we work to assist clients with achieving goals by cultivating self-awareness, identifying personal strengths, and gaining new perspectives. On top of going to college, are you struggling with lack of sleep or health concerns that are depleting your resources and energy, and impacting your mood? Are you worried about COVID-19 and it’s effect on you, college and your future? I am a health focused therapist and provide effective, practical interventions and existential explorations. In addition to working with students who are dealing with anxiety or depression, I also specialize in working with individuals with chronic health or medical conditions, including those who are managing a mild traumatic brain injury. I provide CBT-I for people who have insomnia and want better sleep. Due to COVID 19 I am now treating students via video conferencing on a private, confidential site.

I'm a licensed clinical social worker with a virtual practice in NY and GA. I offer psychotherapy for adults navigating life transitions and struggling with anxiety, depression, stress, perfectionism, and shame. I also specialize in helping people make peace with their bodies and heal their relationships with food and exercise. I see therapy as a deeply rewarding experience where you can cultivate self compassion, self acceptance, and flexibility. We'll create a safe space where you can process distressing feelings or challenges, grow in self understanding, build and practice new ways of coping, and move towards living a full life that's in line with your true values. My integrative approach as a therapist means I'll always be responsive to your reasons for being in therapy and what you want to find. I have an open, exploratory style, but I also won't hesitate to share more concrete resources or suggest practices to test out in between sessions if we decide together it might help.
I am committed to working with students who are seeking to identify their strengths, discover skills to accomplish goals or recover from life challenges. My mission is to create an environment that encourages and promotes growth, self-exploration and positive change. This environment is maintained in a non-judgmental space that grants an opportunity to heal and thrive.
The students I work best with are often feeling overwhelmed by the demands of college and life. They may be struggling with anxiety, stress, burnout, self-doubt, relationship challenges, family pressures, academic concerns, or major life transitions. Many are used to being the "strong one" for everyone else and find themselves feeling emotionally exhausted, disconnected, or unsure of how to prioritize their own needs. I provide a supportive, nonjudgmental space where students can better understand their emotions, build healthy coping skills, improve self-confidence, set boundaries, and navigate challenges with greater clarity. Whether they are adjusting to college life, managing stress, exploring their identity, or working through personal struggles, I help students develop practical tools and insight so they can feel more balanced, confident, and connected to what matters most to them.

I am a Physician Assistant experienced in working in child, adolescent, and adult psychiatry. I diagnose and help patients to manage conditions including but not limited to: anxiety, depression, ADD/ADHD, sleep issues, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and much more. Through medication management, I aspire to help my patients manage their conditions as best as possible by using the least amount of medication in order to manage their symptoms. I also am familiar with over-the-counter / naturopathic approaches to mental health and how using these vitamins as adjuncts to medication can often work synergistically with psychiatric meds. I know that medications aren’t always the only method to improve your mental health, so oftentimes I refer my patients to counseling and therapy too. Originally from the state of FL, I graduated from then University of FL with my bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies before earning my PA degree from the University of South Alabama in 2020. I was recently awarded a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Psychiatry by the NCCPA.

Hi, I’m Sierra (she/her)! I help queer, neurodivergent people-pleasers swap burnout for boundaries and self-doubt for self-love. As a lesbian woman with ADHD raised in the Bible Belt, I know what it’s like to feel both “too much” and “not enough” all at once. If you’ve found yourself here, it probably means… - You’ve spent years assuming you were broken because you’ve never had the language for the very real symptoms you’re experiencing. For example, difficulty estimating how long something will take (time imperception) or losing hours to reflecting on an interaction to make sure you’re not a bad person (scrupulosity). - You wonder, “Do other people struggle with this, or is it just me?” - You overthink social cues constantly, unsure what people want you to say or do, while everyone else seems to just know. - Asking for help feels impossible, especially from authority figures, because fear and self-doubt have been running the show. - Therapy in the past felt like explaining Queerness 101, impeding on your ability to make progress. It also means you’re ready to take the first steps towards… - Discovering you’re not broken, you’re human, and your experiences have names, explanations, and solutions. - Realizing you’re not alone. Countless people have struggled with the very same things, and most of them lead fulfilling lives. - Feeling worthy of taking up space and receiving help, even in spaces that used to feel intimidating. - An affirming therapeutic space where you are truly held and encouraged to be your full self by someone who has walked a similar path (I see you, aro/ace spectrum babes). - Integrating all parts of yourself, even the shadowy parts, into a new story where you are the main character, moving through life with confidence, clarity, and authentic self-expression. This is your invitation to come as you are, messy parts and all, and explore self-compassion, authenticity, and personal growth in a space that sees and values you. Every “should” you obey costs you the life you could have been making. Don’t wait to start reclaiming your time, energy, and peace! Your softer, freer life can begin today.
Danielle "Dani" Brooks has experience working with adults (18+) from a trauma-informed, integrative, and holistic approach that aims to equip clients with tangible coping tools, education, and resources while offering a safe space to process and receive support, compassion, and validation.

I have experience working with adults and elderly who struggle with depression, anxiety, substance abuse, schizophrenia, bipolar, personality disorders, along with major life transitions and end-of-life decisions. My work with adolescents includes depression, anxiety, trauma/PTSD, school behavior concerns, and sexual identity. We will talk about negative thoughts and behaviors & learn techniques to alleviate the symptoms you are experiencing using play-, talk-, and/or art- therapy techniques. We will work together to achieve self-acceptance. I will provide a judgment free zone, with a feeling of safety, comfort, and an open mind. I often had difficulty expressing my feelings & my father taught me how to think critically, love unconditionally, never judge, and how to use other forms of self-expression, like art and writing. I was introduced to AA meetings & found comfort & safety to express my thoughts with my father’s life lessons & knew this was my path. I earned my BS in Psychology at Florida State University in 2015 and MS in Counseling with a concentration in mental health at NOVA Southeastern University in 2019. I am Trilingual (English/Spanish/French). I enjoy practicing self care through painting, dancing, singing, travelling, and binge watching TV shows with my husband & fur-baby, Maddy.
Are you looking for a unique and personalized approach to therapy? I may be the right fit for you. While I am well versed in traditional approaches, I also specialize in animal assisted therapy, art therapy, and play therapy. These tools allow me to tailor my therapeutic approach to the individual and take an integrative approach to counseling. Everyone is different, and it is important that we find an approach that works best for you! Sharing your deepest and most personal hardships with someone is a huge investment of trust. I strive to create a safe, welcoming environment that allows my clients to work through their challenges. It may not always seem possible, but you can become a healthier, happier version of yourself. It is a beautiful thing to experience and a joy to watch it happen. In some ways starting therapy can feel like jumping into a pool. The fear and uncertainty can make it hard to take that first step. The fact is if you are reading this then you are ready for a change. Call and schedule your first appointment today. I promise the water is warm.
