Just Heal Counseling is a wellness center that aims to acknowledge you as a whole person, understanding the mind, body, and spirit connection. Using this holistic approach helps us to see you as not just a symptom or disorder; but aim in expanding on your growth potential and encouraging a better quality of life.
I work primarily with men seeking to better understand themselves as they navigate life and relationships. We can talk about personal, relational, sexual, or spiritual concerns as needed. Mostly this is space for you to learn through our shared dialogue how to connect with your inner world and live with greater freedom, power, and love throughout your life.
An inherent promise of the therapeutic relationship is that it offers us the possibility of grace - to be accepted for who we are. This is why I strive in my practice to connect individuals with the "curious paradox" that Carl Rogers spoke of - namely, "when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change." My years in practice have led me to appreciate how the most impactful change in therapy comes not through the exorcising of some fundamental flaw - i.e. "I will love myself only when I am not myself" - but through fostering a more intimate relationship to ourselves, friends, those we call family, and to our communities. I possess a gentle strength and innate curiosity, and I utilize an integrative approach that incorporates interpersonal therapy, cognitive behavioral therapies such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), as well as somatic practices. I am also a certified grief therapist. I work with adult (18+) clients seeking support for anxiety and mood disorders, shame/self esteem concerns, grief work, creativity, and personal growth. In addition, I have a life-long involvement in the arts, so I welcome the opportunity to support others experiencing the unique successes and struggles that accompany the creative life.
ONLINE ONLY! In my view, psychotherapy serves different purposes at different stages of one's life. For young adults, one of the key tasks at hand is to discover their potential, talents, weaknesses, fears, wants and needs, and to manage relationships at various levels of emotional intimacy. In this process, many of us need to clarify past issues and unresolved conflicts to move forward more freely. My practice is informal, relaxed and friendly, and most of my clients come from multicultural and multiracial backgrounds, and I treasure diversity. I am comfortable working in English, Portuguese and Spanish languages.

I work with young adults who are navigating anxiety, overwhelm, perfectionism, body image concerns, and challenges in their relationship with food. Many of the individuals I work with are high-achieving and driven, but find themselves struggling with stress, self-doubt, burnout, or feeling like they are never quite doing enough. My approach is warm, collaborative, and holistic. Together, we explore the factors impacting your mental health—including relationships, daily habits, societal pressures, and life transitions—while helping you develop practical tools to manage difficult emotions, build self-confidence, and create a more balanced and fulfilling life. I strive to provide a supportive space where you can show up authentically, feel understood, and work toward meaningful change.
Do you struggle with getting out of bed, intrusive thoughts, or worries that keep you from being your best self? As a child of immigrants, do you experience anxiety and depression shaped by cultural expectations and family pressures? My ideal client seeks a safe space to explore these challenges. They want to break free from patterns of self-doubt and stress, develop healthier coping skills, and achieve a sense of self-acceptance and clarity in order to thrive, not just survive. Am I American enough? Desi enough? I work with first-generation immigrants, South Asians, Muslims, women, and young adults. I also enjoy supporting those navigating women’s health issues and chronic pain. As a first-generation immigrant, I understand the balance between assimilation and cultural expectations and can help navigate dual identities. Taking the first step toward change is powerful, and I’m proud of you for considering it. I am a licensed psychologist with over 15 years of experience, primarily in higher education settings. My practice focuses on working with diverse people who are navigating life transitions and demands, particularly those connected to their identity and sense of self. I believe each of us is shaped through our life experiences, both positive and painful. Therapy is an opportunity to explore these experiences, especially if you are feeling unfulfilled or questioning your life’s purpose and meaning. While this process can be difficult, it can also lead to tremendous clarity, insight, and even joy! Because of my years working in higher education settings, I have a nuanced understanding of the unique demands that undergraduate, graduate, and professional students face during these phases of life. I hold expertise in working with students of Asian descent and other BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) students. I have worked extensively with LGBTQIA+ folx, first generation college students, those impacted by immigration (self or family), and student-athletes (DI and DIII institutions; I am credentialed through Emory Athletics Sports Medicine). Considering the different facets of client identity is central to my therapeutic approach, which is collaborative and empowerment-based. I welcome you to email or call me to connect about working together. I meet people via telehealth and offer a complimentary 20 minute initial consultation. The initial consultation gives us a chance to discuss your hopes for therapy, and we can collectively determine if we believe working together is in your best interest. I am authorized to practice in several states outside of GA via PSYPACT (psypact.org/mpage/psypactmap), which can be very helpful for students who live in different states when they are not in school. Congratulations on beginning this journey!
