My name is Elizabeth Bryant. As a LGBTQIA+ affirming couples therapist trained in both Gottman and Developmental Model Couples therapy I have come to learn that not every size fits all. Bringing two different people with their own unique backgrounds, life experiences, and values is bound to be tricky. Trying to build a life with someone is wonderful but a challenging adventure to embark on. I work with a variety of couples including but not limited to LGBTQIA+, monogamous, polyamorous, heterosexual, interracial, and neurodivergent. The majority of the couples I work with are looking for a new way forward together but are facing challenges that often feel unresolvable without guidance. It takes courage, vulnerability, patience, open communication and a genuine desire to heal and grow. It is not a journey taken lightly but together we can create a path towards deeper connection and a joy-filled relationship.
I help college students and adults across Georgia who deal with anxiety, stress, perfectionism, and self-doubt. If you’re constantly overthinking, dealing with anxiety or panic attacks, struggling to set boundaries, or feeling like you’re never doing enough—you’re not alone. I use practical, evidence-based approaches like CBT and ACT to help you challenge self-doubt, build confidence, and create healthier relationships. Therapy with me is a space where you can be real, learn to manage anxiety, and find a better balance in life—all from the comfort of a virtual session. Let’s work together to help you feel more in control and less overwhelmed.
I am inspired to work in mental health care because I am passionate about helping individuals overcome challenges, find resilience, and achieve a better quality of life. I find it deeply rewarding to be part of my patients’ journeys toward healing and growth, and I value the opportunity to address the stigma around Mental Health and advocate for compassionate, evidence-based care. I ensure patients feel heard and understood by actively listening, reflecting their thoughts and feelings, and validating their experiences. I create a safe, non-judgmental space, pay attention to verbal and nonverbal cues, and tailor my approach to their unique needs, fostering trust and collaboration. Building trust and a strong Therapeutic Alliance with my patients begins with creating a safe, nonjudgmental, and empathetic environment where they feel heard and respected. I approach each patient with genuine curiosity about their experiences and ensure that I validate their emotions and perspectives. Consistency and reliability are key, so I strive to communicate clearly and follow through on what I say. I also prioritize transparency by explaining my thought process, treatment recommendations, and the rationale behind decisions to involve the patient in their care plan actively. Additionally, I respect their autonomy and individuality, recognizing that trust is earned over time through mutual collaboration and demonstrating my commitment to their well-being.

Hello and welcome! Life can feel like a lot sometimes. You might be feeling overwhelmed by academic pressure, anxiety or depression, questioning your path, navigating complicated relationships, or trying to hold it all together while everyone else seems to be thriving. College and student life can bring growth and independence, but also burnout, impostor syndrome, loneliness, and identity questions. You don’t have to navigate it alone. I specialize in working with students experiencing anxiety, depression, life transitions, and family or relationship challenges. Many of the clients I work with are untangling complex family dynamics, healing from past experiences, or learning how to set boundaries while honoring their cultural or personal values. I also support neurodiverse clients, including those with ADHD and executive functioning challenges, and understand the stress that can come from masking or feeling misunderstood in academic spaces. My approach blends cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic therapy, meaning we’ll look at both present patterns and deeper roots. Together, we’ll build insight, strengthen coping skills, and help you develop a more supportive and realistic inner voice. Therapy with me is collaborative — we’ll reflect, challenge patterns, and even laugh when it fits. I am committed to providing affirming, culturally responsive care for diverse clients, including BIPOC, neurodiverse, and LGBTQ+ individuals. If you’re exploring identity, belonging, or navigating systems that weren’t built with you in mind, that work is welcome here. I aim to create a space where you can show up as you are — warm, supportive, and real (not drive-thru mental health care). I am currently an Associate Professional Counselor (APC), working toward full licensure under the guidance of Lauren Vaughan-D'Angelo, LPC, CPCS. I provide virtual therapy for clients across Georgia, with evening and weekend availability. My standard rate is $125, and I accept select insurance plans as well as self-pay. I offer a limited number of sliding scale spots to help keep therapy accessible and within reach. If you’re wondering whether we’re a good fit, I offer a free 15-minute phone “vibe check.”
Please note that I only see clients who are in Georgia. I am currently providing individual therapy virtually through a secure platform. Struggling with emotions, thoughts, behaviors? Wanting to make some changes? If you are seeking to address issues and stressors in your life, support and challenge in therapy may help. I have over twenty years of experience working with eating disorders, depression, anxiety, and other mental health concerns; much of my work has been with in university settings with college aged adults. I use a variety of techniques to help identify and change behaviors and thoughts that negatively impact your life. I generally see clients by appointment Monday through Thursday. During your first visit, I ask a variety of questions to get a broad view of your concerns, including your presenting issues, history, physical health, daily activities, social life, substance use, and other concerns. From that information we can determine goals for therapy and if we are a good fit. I will make suggestions if I think you need in-person or other services. I work with a wide range of psychological issues, and have significant experience working with women's issues and eating disorders . I have been trained in cognitive-behavioral therapy which has been found to be effective with eating disorders, depression, and anxiety. I also draw from other theoretical approaches to provide an individualized approach for each client based on their presenting issues, symptoms, values, goals, and history. I have extensive experience is CBT, ACT, psychodynamic and mindfulness approaches working with a variety of populations, mental barriers and social challenges. By developing together the skills of psychological flexibility, I aim to equip you with the skills to successfully endure future hardships on your own in an imperfect world where negative experiences and events are outside of our control. In turn, allowing you to live a life that is gratifying, authentic, rich, purposeful and well-adapted. Aside from my academic training, my psychotherapy approach is also informed by my own queer identity, my multicultural immigrant background, existential worldview, social justice, and the realities of people of working class and low socio-economic experiences. My job is about hope. I help students struggling with anxiety, depression, or stress. These symptoms can interfere with your schoolwork and wellness. Many of my former clients tell me that they were surprised and relieved to feel so much better after therapy. They were unsure if they would ever find relief from the challenges they had. That is why I do what I do. It is a joy to share in that journey of healing. I have found the most important thing is to tailor my approach to each person's specific needs. Therapy is not one size fits all. For example, I often find expressive arts to be helpful when overcoming trauma. I also have a special place in my heart for those who struggle with eating disorders and self harm.
