Seeking therapy is a courageous act of self-care and self-discovery. Whether you’re feeling overwhelmed, burned out, or weighed down by past wounds, unwanted thoughts, identity questions, relationship challenges, or the pressures of modern life—including the impact of technology, social media, and AI—you are not alone. I offer an affirming space to explore queerness, neurodivergence, multicultural identity, intergenerational pressures, and systems that weren’t built with you in mind. I am here to walk alongside you with compassion, warmth, and deep respect for who you are and where you come from. Together, we’ll uncover the patterns shaping your experiences, clarify what matters most to you, and develop strategies tailored to your needs. My goal is to support you in reclaiming your story, honoring your complexity, and building a life that feels authentic, sustainable, and whole. If this resonates, please reach out via email, call, or text to schedule your complimentary 15-minute consultation—available both in person and virtually. When you get in touch, kindly include your name, contact information, and a few dates and times that work best for you. I look forward to being a part of your journey.

I understand that reaching out for support is a big step, often taken while overwhelmed by difficult emotions. Many of my clients come to me feeling exhausted, whether it manifests as persistent worry, disconnection from loved ones, or low self-esteem. You might feel stuck, sensing that something’s off, even if you can't pinpoint exactly what it is. These feelings are common, and you are not alone. I often work with clients processing past trauma, seeking greater self-awareness, and coping with ongoing stress. My goal is to meet you where you are and support you in forging deeper connections with yourself, others, and the world. You’re used to keeping it together, even when it’s hard. Maybe you're the overthinker, the perfectionist, the one who’s always there for everyone else. But lately, it’s been a lot: anxiety, life changes, big questions about who you are and where you’re headed. Therapy can be a place to slow down, feel understood, and find tools that actually help. I work with teens and young adults navigating anxiety, depression, identity, and life transitions. My style is warm, supportive, and grounded in trauma-informed CBT. Together, we’ll get curious about what’s going on beneath the surface and build skills to help you move forward. When you are ready to talk, call Gracefully Balanced Counseling at our office number or shoot me an email. We can schedule your free 15 minute consultation, where you can learn more about my approach and if we would make a good fit!

Beginning the work of therapy can bring up many emotions, and I am here to be with you through all of them. I approach therapy with reverence for your lived experience, nervous system, and desires for the future. I specialize in working with teenagers through adults to address concerns related to anxiety, depression, life transitions big or small, religion and identity, and family of origin issues. I’m passionate about working with parents to explore their own histories and ties to the present, as well as individuals seeking to understand their experience of neurodivergence or that of a loved one. I utilize a psychodynamic approach and draw from relational-cultural theory, polyvagal theory, and internal family systems. This means we will wonder together about the ways past experiences and relationships impact you in the present emotionally, mentally, and physically. I'm deeply committed to maintaining an anti-racist, neurodiversity-affirming, and queer-affirming practice, considering clients and their challenges in the context of oppressive systems. I know how challenging it can be to find a therapist who feels like a good fit, and I'd love to connect with you if anything in my approach resonates with your experiences.

Starting therapy in college can feel intimidating, especially when you're juggling classes, relationships, family expectations, and trying to figure out who you are and what you want. Maybe you’re feeling overwhelmed, unsure about the future, or like you're supposed to have it all together when things feel anything but. If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone, and you don’t have to figure it all out on your own. I work with college students who are navigating things like self-doubt, perfectionism, people-pleasing, and trouble setting boundaries. In therapy, we’ll look at the patterns behind what’s keeping you stuck and find practical, manageable ways to help you feel more confident and in control. My style is warm, collaborative, and down-to-earth. I pull from approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to help you build coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and reconnect with what actually matters to you. I’m LGBTQIA+ affirming and committed to creating an inclusive, welcoming space for people of all identities and backgrounds. Whether you’re coming in with a specific concern or just a feeling that something’s off, I’m here to support you through it.

Therapy is not always easy. But that doesn't mean it is without joy. In therapy, we get to come to an appreciation of both joy and sorrow that are the consequences of living a fully human life. Through appropriate challenge and support, we are able to expand the range of our humanity and our participation in the world. My approach is grounded in brief psychodynamic models of treatment. I believe that therapy can help make us conscious of the adjustments we have made to cope with our life circumstances and can shine a light on new possibilities towards greater authenticity. I continually seek to improve my own utility as a therapist, and I read voraciously towards that end. My understanding of psychology, sociology, and social work provide not only a foundation for understanding client struggles, but also a basis from which to conceptualize growth and solutions.

The clients I work best with are often the ones who appear “put together” on the outside but feel overwhelmed, stuck, or disconnected on the inside. They’re typically reliable, high-functioning and used to being the person others depend on but privately, they may be dealing with anxiety, burnout, overthinking, or a sense that they’ve lost themselves in their roles. Many of my clients struggle with people-pleasing, difficulty setting boundaries, or feeling responsible for others’ emotions. Some are navigating major life transitions like relationship changes, co-parenting, or figuring out their next steps in school or career. Others may not have a clear “reason” for therapy but know something feels off and want more clarity, balance, or a stronger sense of self. I work well with folks who are open to looking a little deeper, at patterns in relationships, how past experiences may still be showing up, and how stress or emotions live in the body. You don’t have to have it all figured out. If you’re willing to be curious about yourself and want practical tools alongside deeper understanding, this space can be a good fit.

When we can sit with our feelings and examine our thoughts we have an increased ability to understand our decisions and behaviors as well as the choices that are available to us. We utilize a non judgmental and warm approach to fully understand where clients are in their journey. We believe our clients present us with an enormous gift by sharing their vulnerabilities and strengths; we take therapy seriously and hope that each session is productive and our clients leave with a broader understanding of themselves and what they can do in the moment to feel better. We provide individual counseling to help each person identify their own strengths and contributions to creating a life worth living. I enjoy working with neurodivergent children, teens, adults, and families, including those with autism, ADHD, learning disabilities, and other disabilities. Many of my clients come to therapy feeling misunderstood, overwhelmed, or struggling with emotional regulation, relationships, school, or daily life demands. Together, we create a neuroaffirming space where clients can better understand themselves, build on their strengths, develop practical coping skills, and find approaches that honor the way their brains naturally work. As an art therapist and former elementary school art teacher, I offer a creative, person-centered approach tailored to each client's needs. I incorporate art therapy, sandtray therapy, play therapy, DBT, CBT, and solution-focused techniques to support emotional growth, self-understanding, and meaningful change. I believe healing happens when people are given space to show up as they are. You don't need artistic experience, perfect words, or everything figured out to begin therapy. If you're looking for a compassionate, collaborative space to explore challenges and strengths, I'd be honored to support you.
