Therapists for college students near Portland, OR
I believe that a trusting relationship with you is of the utmost importance. During our time together I will work to create an atmosphere of warmth and acceptance so you feel free sharing and exploring whatever is troubling you. My approach is a trauma-informed and culturally-sensitive integration of attachment theory, psychodynamic therapy, and cognitive therapy which emphasizes (1) trusting the client as an expert of their own reality, (2) exploring the patterns through which we come to understand ourselves, others, and the world, and (3) seeking meaningful emotional experiences in a safe therapeutic relationship. I will work to build a supportive, trusting, and safe relationship with you so you can bravely identify and confront the challenges you're facing. Counseling can seem like a daunting task to take on, but it also be incredibly rewarding and life-changing. If this sounds like a journey you would like to begin, then please contact me!
At the heart of every thriving relationship and meaningful life is one core ingredient: human connection. Yet, over time, communication breaks down, life transitions pile up, or stress leaves us feeling disconnected from the people and goals that matter most. If you are feeling stuck, struggling to navigate conflict, or simply wanting to build a life that feels authentic and worth living, you do not have to figure it out alone. I bring 20 years of clinical experience in the mental health field to guide our work together. But more than my years in practice, I bring deep empathy, honesty, and an unwavering commitment to your growth. Therapy is most powerful when you can show up as your complete, authentic self. My practice is grounded in affirmative, culturally responsive care, welcoming individuals from all walks of life, cultural backgrounds, and lived experiences. En este espacio bilingüe y culturalmente afirmativo, podemos trabajar en Español, respetando sus valores y necesidades. Instead of focusing solely on "fixing symptoms," we focus on expanding your life. Combining relational therapies with mindfulness tools, we build concrete life skills for real change. Learn to communicate with kindness, cultivate emotional resilience against stress, and align daily habits to build thriving relationships and a life worth living.

With over a decade of diverse experience in mental health care, my approach respects the interplay of biological, psychological, and social factors in your mental health. Valuing compassion, respect, and honesty, I strive for solutions that go beyond medication, incorporating supportive therapy as needed. I specialize in helping adults heal from trauma, manage anxiety, and break free from cycles of perfectionism, self-criticism, and chronic stress. I am particularly drawn to working with women, LGBTQIA2S+ individuals, and healthcare professionals navigating burnout, identity stress, compassion fatigue, and the long-term impact of always having to be “on.” As a queer, neurodivergent therapist, I understand how important it is to have a space where you don’t need to translate your experience, justify your reactions, or perform stability in order to be met with care. My approach is trauma-informed, affirming, and collaborative, drawing primarily from EMDR and ACT.
My role is to support clients to achieve goals, whether it be for self-exploration, empowerment, navigating the challenges of a life transition or wanting to enhance or maintain the quality of a relationship. I am a trauma-informed therapist who highlights strengths and believes that every individual possesses the innate power of making meaningful changes.
