Y’all. Adulting is hard. You might be finishing school, moving out, starting a career, or trying to make big life choices that feel like they’ll define your future. It’s a lot. Between the pressure to “have your sh** together” and constantly comparing yourself to others, it’s easy to feel lost, anxious, depressed, or stuck. Stepping into adulthood can be exciting–and overwhelming. No matter how much you’ve prepared yourself for this moment, change is tough and let’s be real–adulting is hard. Growing up doesn’t come with a roadmap ( I know, I wish it did too.), but that’s because everyone’s path can look different. Many young adults come to therapy for help with challenges like: -Anxiety or stress about school, work, the future, and feeling “behind” -Overthinking and self-doubt that won’t turn off -Difficulty making decisions or feeling stuck in “what’s next” -Identity exploration–figuring out values, goals, or sense of self -Relationship changes with friends, family, or partners -Depression from not feeling like you’re good enough -Burnout from trying to do it all -Life transitions, like moving out, finishing college or starting a new job These challenges are adult growing pains, like when your legs used to hurt before you grew a couple inches. But you know, emotionally. Maybe you also have some baggage from the past that can make navigating these challenges even more difficult (Thanks parents!).

Hello! Thanks for stopping by. I enjoy working with college students and have experience working in a college counseling center. I enjoy helping people with depression, anxiety, and other problems navigating challenges related to academics, identity, family issues, and relationships. I especially enjoy supporting BIPOC, LGBTQ (and trans people in particular), children of immigrants, and international students.
Mental health is defined as the ability to love, and the ability to work; to be able to have stable and emotionally fulfilling relationships with others, to take care of your daily needs, and to be able to enjoy using your time creatively and productively. As a counselor, I aim to join with my clients and help them identify their troubles, explore their origins, and create unique solutions to help them live the life they hope for. While my work is very relational and focuses more on meeting the unique needs of individuals, I use specific techniques drawn from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Skills, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy. I have seven years experience working with young adults, especially neurodivergent young adults on the autism spectrum or with ADHD or learning differences. I particularly enjoy vocational counseling and helping clients navigate life transitions. Many of my clients have complicated diagnositic histories and may have struggled to connect with other counselors in the past. I accept insurance through Headway and also accept private pay through card, cash, check, or Zelle. Please feel free to ask me about sliding scale.

I am a queer trans non-binary therapist and expressive arts therapist. My focus is providing individual therapy for LGBTQIA+ adults, women, and non-monogamous and polyamorous people. I specialize in working with trans and non-binary folks and people navigating relationships, building confidence, or wanting to engage the arts as part of therapy. I strive to create an environment where you can be yourself, feel comfortable exploring your experience and taking risks, and take steps towards what’s important to you. I am social justice oriented, neurodiversity-affirming, and work from a trauma-informed perspective. I am able to see clients in both Washington and Texas, and practice under the supervision of Candice Holloway, LPC-S and Breona Mendoza, LMHC. As expressive arts therapist, I often bring play and creative expression into therapy. This could include anything from creating a D&D character who represents part of your experience, to making a music playlist, to integrating visual art, movement, music, writing, or role-playing into our work. As a therapist, I am warm, engaged, and curious. You deserve a therapist that gets you – it’s important to me to take time to get to know you. I cheer you on and see myself as a facilitator and collaborator as you work towards your goals. As a human, I love camping, attending queer and sex-positive events, finding dogs, and trying new gluten free recipes.
I work with clients who may be struggling with depression or anxiety related to various life stressors, including parenting kids with special needs. In our sessions, we will identify the issues at hand, and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you get your life back. You're the one everyone counts on. You show up, you achieve, you hold it together — and somewhere underneath, you're exhausted and not sure why nothing feels like enough. Maybe you grew up translating for your parents, managing everyone's emotions, or learning early that needing things was inconvenient. Maybe you've never called any of that trauma, because it just felt like life. I work with high-achieving adults, adult children of immigrants, and couples who are tired of functioning well and feeling terrible. Together we get underneath the coping — the overworking, the people-pleasing, the hyper-independence — and into what your nervous system has been carrying all along. My approach is warm and direct. I'll reflect back what I notice, ask the harder question, and hold space for the parts of your story that don't have easy language yet. I use Brainspotting and EMDR alongside talk therapy, because some things live in the body and can't be reasoned through. I'm Surabhi Jagdish, LMFT-S, with over 12 years of experience. I see clients virtually across Minnesota, Texas, and Colorado.
It would be my honor to walk with you through your trauma, difficult relationships, complicated life circumstances, or whatever life throws your way! I work to create a safe space where you feel comfortable to share anything. No one should struggle alone, take the next step to take care of you!
You're a woman who grew up without the emotional nurturing you needed by having a distant parent, inconsistent caregiving, or years spent being the strong one. You desired love, but received mental and emotional pain from people you trusted. Now, these early wounds are showing up as anxiety, self-doubt, depression, overthinking, trauma-responses, relationship struggles, low self-esteem, or feeling disconnected and lost. You want peace, clarity, wholeness, and the ability to break generational patterns so you can show up fully, with purpose, and thrive in life as a woman, a partner, a parent, and/or a professional. I help women heal from the impact of childhood emotional wounds using a trauma-informed, faith-integrated approach. I work towards guiding women to rebuild self-trust, regulate emotions, strengthen relationships, and create an inner safety they've always deserved. I provide a therapeutic and transformational frame through individual, couples, and group work. You don't have to keep carrying these wounds alone. Healing is possible. It is time to experience a safe space where your story is honored without judgment. If you're ready for supportive work that helps you to feel whole again, I'd be honored to walk with you on this journey. Let's take the next step together.
Feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, dating challenges, or life transitions? You don’t have to navigate it alone. I love working with college students seeking clarity, peace, and confidence—whether you're adjusting to campus life, preparing for the future, or feeling emotionally stuck and alone. Originally from Houston, Texas and now based in Atlanta, I’ve been fully licensed since 2018 and practicing since 2012. My early work focused on adolescents and families affected by substance use, but I found my sweet spot working with young adults navigating anxiety, relationship stress, and identity development. Whether you're facing college anxiety, academic pressure, or relationship concerns, I offer a warm, nonjudgmental space where you can process emotions and grow at your own pace. Therapy with me is relaxed, empowering, and rooted in real-life support. Healing isn’t instant, but it starts with being open, heard, and supported. Let’s take that first step—together.

Do you feel stuck in anxiety, self-doubt, or emotional patterns that seem bigger than the present moment? Often, early experiences and relational wounds shape how we cope long after the moment has passed. Whether I’m working with a child, a teen, or a young adult, my goal is the same: to create a safe, supportive space where big feelings are welcomed. Together we work toward deeper healing, not just temporary relief. Using insight-oriented exploration with practical tools, I help clients navigate challenges with anxiety, depression, identity development, and trauma. Therapy with me focuses on understanding the “why” behind your patterns while building skills that create real, lasting change. If you’re ready to feel calmer, more confident, and more understood, schedule a consultation today. Let’s talk about what’s happening and what support could look like through meaningful growth.
ONLINE ONLY! In my view, psychotherapy serves different purposes at different stages of one's life. For young adults, one of the key tasks at hand is to discover their potential, talents, weaknesses, fears, wants and needs, and to manage relationships at various levels of emotional intimacy. In this process, many of us need to clarify past issues and unresolved conflicts to move forward more freely. My practice is informal, relaxed and friendly, and most of my clients come from multicultural and multiracial backgrounds, and I treasure diversity. I am comfortable working in English, Portuguese and Spanish languages.
Anyone else tired of all of these “unprecedented” events stressing out their already stressful life? How can someone NOT feel anxious while balancing news, work/school, social life, family, chores, relationships and self-care? Life can be so overwhelming! But I can help with that! I provide a safe, empathic and accepting space for anyone working through these feelings. I specialize in helping women and teens find healing and inner strength in order to find fulfillment in life's challenges and triumphs.
