You've been feeling anxious, depressed, maybe your relationships are struggling. Feeling overwhelmed, like you are not in control of your life can get in the way of your job, school, your confidence and your ability to be present in daily life. You might be thinking, "nobody knows what I'm going through" or have thoughts telling you that “you are just not good enough.” Healing is possible. Get the help that you need to move on from the difficult things that have happened to you. It is my number one goal to support you and help you experience a sense of safety and stability. You will learn coping mechanisms and ways of managing the overwhelming feelings and emotions. I use EMDR and sensorimotor psychotherapy, which just means working with the body. I believe our bodies can help us in the process of healing. EMDR is very effective for depression, anxiety, PTSD and much more.

I have worked with clients for nearly 30 years as a Licensed Professional Counselor. I focus my work on helping clients foster a lighthearted relationship with the self, body and mind. Together, I work with my clients to discover self-compassion and internal strengths, resources, humor, and focus. I have found that from this place of self awareness, new skills and lasting change can form. In addition, I have a specialty focus working with the Spanish speaking community and Crime Victim Compensation clients. Will Siu MD, DPhil, is an Oxford and Harvard educated psychiatrist working at the interface of medicine, mysticism, and transformation. Shaped by his own healing journey, his work focuses on trauma, resilience and the deeper dimensions of human evolution — drawing on somatic therapy and integrative approaches that conventional psychiatry rarely reaches. Treatment Philosophy: Healing is a relational, transformational, and deeply human process. While medications can play an important role at certain moments, I’ve found that lasting change emerges through psychotherapy and through reconnecting people with their own capacity for awareness, vitality, and agency. My early training included classical psychotherapy, and over the years I’ve integrated it with insights from Eastern philosophies, contemplative practices, somatic work, and modern trauma science. I also support spiritual and meditative practices for those who are drawn to them, and I draw from my experience in psychedelic-assisted therapy when it aligns with a person’s readiness and goals (though I do not provide psychedelic sessions). Although I do prescribe medication, most of the people I work with are not on psychiatric drugs. When medications are used, I view them as temporary supports rather than long-term solutions, and I remain attentive to reducing or discontinuing them when life becomes manageable without them. At the heart of my work is the therapeutic relationship—an authentic, attuned space where people can safely explore their inner world, integrate their history, and reconnect with their inherent aliveness. My role is to help people access their own inner healer—the part of them that knows how to grow, repair, and transform when given the right conditions. Ultimately, the aim of treatment is freedom: to live with greater clarity, creativity, connection, and self-trust.

This transitional phase can be both exciting and overwhelming for young adults as they navigate the intricacies of gaining independence, making career choices, forging relationships, and finding their rightful place in the world. Amidst these challenges, many also face the complexities of managing anxiety, coping with depression, adjusting to the realities of ‘adulting,’ resolving roommate issues, and confronting substance use concerns. I provide a compassionate and supportive environment, offering practical guidance to help young adults navigate these multifaceted changes. My approach is designed to help overcome these obstacles, address emotional and mental health challenges, and foster a deep sense of purpose and direction.

Hi everyone, I’m Amy, and I’m really glad you’re here. My approach to therapy is about creating a welcoming, nonjudgmental space where you can feel heard and supported. I’m trained in EMDR and also like to bring in approaches such as mindfulness, walking sessions, breath work, and practical skill-building, depending on what feels most helpful for you. I also draw from DBT, which stands for Dialectical Behavior Therapy. In real life, that means learning concrete tools for things like calming yourself when emotions feel overwhelming, communicating more effectively in relationships, and finding ways to balance school, life, and stress. These skills are all about helping you feel more in control and supported in the day-to-day challenges you face. I’m also a mom, and I have deep respect and admiration for young adults — I really value the unique perspectives you bring to the world. My goal is to walk alongside you as you navigate challenges, discover your strengths, and build tools that support your growth both now and in the future.

I work best with individuals who are interested in exploring their inner world. Those who benefit most from this work are often seeking to better understand their struggles and find renewed energy and meaning through the process. I work with you to explore and address the issues behind your emotional distress. Together, we will bring awareness to the ways you manage fear, pain, and anger. This exploration will contact the experiences you often avoid, including doubt and vulnerability. When you can experience yourself more fully, you reclaim lost parts of your self. Ultimately, this is a path to building trust in yourself and others. It is deeply rewarding—turning suffering into self-understanding and engagement with life.

Change is hard, and getting to know yourself is a process! Some of my clients are neurodivergent, and want support in adjusting to new surroundings and building new skills. I also work with people experiencing anxiety, depression, PTSD, and with other mental health concerns. My background is in somatic, movement-based counseling. In sessions, we might spend time learning more about what your body is telling you, and working with it to find balance and relief. Sessions can also look like talking about life, using expressive art to explore your emotions, or practicing mindfulness skills.

"Resilience is based on being able to accept ambiguity and find hope amid uncertain conditions." This notion, shared by Dr. Pauline Boss, is one that is central to my clinical practice. We all have points in our lives when stress, change, or loss, may leave us feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, or unsure of what lies ahead. The opportunity to warmly welcome clients into my office to re-gain their center, tap into internal resources, and nurture the development of new strategies is one I welcome each time I meet someone new. Rocky, my therapy dog, provides an added level of comfort for clients.

My ideal female clients are independent, driven, and highly capable individuals, who feel disconnected from their true selves. They are successful in their careers and relationships, but feel something is missing. They often experience dissatisfaction, burnout, or unfulfilled potential because they are stuck in patterns that don’t align with their true desires or values. These women may feel like they are wearing a mask—pretending to be someone they’re not in different situations, whether it’s at work or in their personal lives. They’re often navigating relationship challenges, struggling with unhealthy dynamics, or feeling unfulfilled in their careers. They seek clarity, support, and guidance to uncover who they truly are, reconnect with their authentic selves, and build deeper, more meaningful relationships. Their primary goal is to break free from the patterns that keep them feeling stuck, develop a sense of fulfillment, and experience genuine connection both with themselves and others. They want to stop hiding behind a facade and start living life on their own terms—feeling empowered, authentic, and aligned with their values. Ultimately, these women want to create a life that feels true to them—a life that is full of joy, confidence, and deeper connection with others. Through therapy, they want to explore their true desires, heal from past patterns, and step into a life that’s fully aligned with who they are.
