You're doing your best—but it still feels like too much, and somehow, not enough. Maybe your relationship feels distant, or communication is strained. Perhaps you're navigating a life transition and feeling overwhelmed, disconnected, or distracted from yourself and those around you. Perhaps you're feeling stuck in patterns that no loner serve you. These feelings are more common than you think- and they don't mean you're broken. I believe that every person holds the power to heal, change, and create the life they desire. If you're ready to make a change, you're in the right place.

Presence and accompaniment matter. Relationships transform. We can more easily connect to our true self and touch emotional distress in the presence of another's settled nervous system. Neurobiology and mindfulness science has proven that the human brain can be distraught while simultaneously observing the self with compassion. The ability to be both experiencing and holding the experience is the key to maintaining calm when facing challenges. Whether you feel overwhelmed, stuck, anxiety, anger, depression, or find yourself reacting in ways that leave you feeling alone and hurt, we can come to be with all of it with gentle awareness and respect. Utilizing attuned presence and offering stabilizing mind-body approaches, I support clients in restoring and strengthening connection with themselves and the world around them. It is in the warmth of healthy relationship that we offer our brains the ability to rewire. Our journey will allow space for joy, for pain, for greater self awareness and compassion. Restoring balance, re-engaging with connection, and igniting wisdom through awareness is possible. Please visit my website to schedule your free, 15 minute initial consultation. I look forward to meeting and walking alongside you.

It's uncomfortable to reach out for help, to reveal our pain and personal matters to anyone, let alone a stranger. This is why my priority is creating a safe, judgment free space to build a genuine connection with my clients. In addition to developing strategies to relieve immediate distress, I apply my 15 years in mental health, from home-based to hospital crisis work, to help you identify the reasons behind your struggles and resolve the underlying causes. This provides the framework for positive growth and a deeper understanding of oneself, for lasting results. I adapt my approach to meet your individual needs and therapeutic goals. You are the expert on your life and your experiences, and my role is to provide support, help you gain insight into any self-limiting beliefs, all while gently steering you in the right direction. Everything we need for growth is already inside us; it's just a matter of finding it. I have thorough knowledge of anxiety, depression, and identifying/treating suicidal ideation, serving as clinical educator for a large crisis dept. My extensive training on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy provides a foundation for my work. I'd like to make the process of starting therapy as easy as possible and invite a conversation on how I might help you.
Helping you overcome anxiety, avoidance, stress, and crippling perfectionism so you can live with purpose, passion, and fulfillment.
You have a story to tell. A story about you. It is a story full of hope, joy, confusion, and at times pain. Right now, you may be in that experience of confusion or pain, and feel unsure of how to make good decisions, or any decision at all. I would be honored to hear that story and journey with you as you seek to put new puzzle pieces together to find peace and clarity. All my clients (individual and couple) will come to understand their behavioral responses caused by our internal experiences of pain, what we refer to as our pain cycle. We will then map out new opportunities for personal responsibility and predictability, referred to as our peace cycle, and seek together how to practice and strengthen making decisions within our peace cycle instead of making decisions while coping with our pain cycle.

I really enjoy getting to know what makes my clients unique as people and then using this to help tackle whatever is sucking the fun out of life. One of the first things we can do in therapy is explore how you view the world and what the ingredients are to the problems bothering you. We'll make a plan together that feels right to you and is at the pace you need it to be. During each session, I want you to feel heard and cared about. My aim as your therapist is to support you in creating a more fulfilling life - a life you want to wake up to.

My ideal client is a person who is struggling with anxiety, depression, a life transition or who has trouble identifying feelings. They feel these difficulties hold them back from the life they want, and are brave enough to begin a journey of transformation. My primary approach is experiential in nature, which means I work in the here-and-now with you. My approach is also informed by psychodynamic therapy, which explores how the past impacts your present life. Feel free to learn more at ericbryanlmhc.com. Hi, I’m so glad you are here. If your life has come to a crossroad and you would like someone to walk alongside you as you navigate your journey, you have come to the right place. Feeling uncertain, worried, or hopeless can be scary and hard to cope with. Therapy provides a safe and supportive space to increase your self awareness and improve your ability to cope with stressors. My approach is client-centered, and targets balance between mind and body. The focus areas of my practice are women’s issues, bicultural identity, anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorder. I have several years of experience working in the field in inpatient and outpatient community mental health settings. I care about an array of social justice issues, most prominently disrupting racial oppression and promoting equity. I consider myself an ally to people who identify as LGBTQ+. I am deeply passionate about women's issues and navigating identity. I am so glad you are taking a moment to prioritize your well-being, and look forward to working with you!
“I have learned now that while those who speak about one’s miseries usually hurt, those who keep silence hurt more.” - Clive Staples Lewis Beginning the process of therapy can be intimidating, overwhelming, and scary. I completely understand and have been where you are. Sitting in silence only prolongs the inevitable. Trying to resolve the problem with the help of a friend or loved one eases the burden temporarily but you may not get to the core. Working with a trusted therapist, you begin to understand your deeper thought processes, the ineffective loops you’re likely stuck in, and the fear-based thoughts holding you back. I help people struggling with stress, depression, anxiety, trauma, and relational conflicts. I begin where you stand now. I move slowly, gently, and respectfully towards the goals we create together. My therapeutic approach includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) for trauma, and Systemic Family Therapy. Some of my past experiences include working with individuals and couples in several private practice locations over the years, an inpatient drug/alcohol addiction treatment center, and at a U.S. Air Force base helping military members and their families. I also worked as a mental health counselor in a close-security prison for 3 ½ years helping male inmates struggling with mental health issues. A few fun facts about me: I spent 20 years in the U.S. Air Force and have lived in multiple countries and states. I've been married to my beautiful bride for over 20 years and we are empty nesters (if you don't count our 4 pets)!
